Mountain Fire Updates
In response to the recent Mountain Fire in Ventura County, 805 UndocuFund has mobilized to support undocumented individuals and families affected by this disaster. Recognizing that undocumented residents often lack access to federal and state disaster relief programs, our organization is committed to providing essential assistance during these challenging times.
Current Efforts:
To sustain and expand our relief efforts, we have launched a fundraising campaign aimed at raising $150,000. These funds will be allocated directly to assist undocumented families affected by the Mountain Fire.
Current Efforts:
- Emergency Financial Assistance: We are offering direct financial aid to undocumented families impacted by the Mountain Fire, helping them cover immediate needs such as housing, food, and medical expenses.
- Resource Coordination: Our team is collaborating with the Ventura County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VC VOAD) to connect affected individuals with vital services.
- Community Outreach: We are actively reaching out to impacted communities to ensure they are aware of the available support and understand how to access our services.

About Us |
805 UndocuFund is a 501(c)(3) corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors that mobilizes resources when disaster hits, providing short-term financial relief to undocumented residents, and advocates for long-term systems change to ensure immigrants are effectively included in disaster mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Since its creation in 2018 as a grassroots community response to the Thomas Fire, COVID-19, and other wildfires, 805 UndocuFund has worked consistently with philanthropy and more than 800 volunteers from the community to distribute over $8 million dollars in one-time cash disaster relief to over 6,000 households (more than 17,000 Central Coast immigrant residents) who were not eligible for state and federal disaster assistance and social safety nets, due to immigration status. 805 Undocufund is the result of an ongoing collective community effort and partnership among Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties-based grassroots organizations that have a solid reputation, and strong track record, and are known to and trusted by many immigrant residents: Future Leaders of America (FLA), Mixteco/Indigenous Community Organizing Project (MICOP), and Central Coast Alliance United for a Sustainable Economy (CAUSE). |
