EMERGENCY

ASSISTANCE

FUND

The 805UndocuFund Emergency Assistance Fund (EAF) offers direct financial relief to undocumented and mixed-status families residing in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties impacted by immigration enforcement—including those detained, currently in deportation proceedings or whose loved ones have already been deported. This fund provides a one-time stipend of financial support for the family to use at their discretion, given directly to them. By addressing urgent financial needs, the EAF ensures families can stay together, access vital services, and navigate unimaginable hardship with the support they deserve.

DISASTER

RELIEF FUND

Our General Assistance Fund helps us allocate funds for not only administrative purpose like: flyers, trainings, seminars, events, etc. but also can be allocated to our other funds as need like providing emergency financial aid to individuals or families facing unexpected hardships, like displacement due to disaster, or medical crises. We use donations to cover basic needs such as rent, food, or utilities for those experiencing emergencies & displacement due to natural disasters in our Tri-county. This fund also allows us to move funds into the other programs listed on a needed basis to ensure all families are covered. All donations to any fund are tax deductible!

We’re conducting a needs assessment to determine if undocumented residents in Ventura County were financially affected in their jobs by the recent fires in LA. If you or someone you know lives in Ventura County and was impacted, please take a moment to complete this short assessment.

Your input will help us better understand the needs of our community and provide appropriate support.

Important Note: To qualify for our funds, at least one person in the family must be undocumented. Families where all members have permanent residence (including DACA) or are U.S. citizens are not eligible for our funds.

MUTUAL

AID FUND

Our Mutual Aid Fund exists to provide immediate, flexible, and community-led support to immigrant families and individuals facing harm due to immigration enforcement, detention, displacement, and other urgent crises across the Central Coast. Funds raised will go directly to feeding families with food boxes and hygenic products, supporting trusted grassroots groups such as Collectivo Mariposa (North Santa Barbara County), Red Esperanza (South Santa Barbara County), RideAlliance (Ventura/Oxnard), Monarchsdel805 (Ventura County) and other community-led efforts responding to the immediate needs that families are left to manage after separation.

Every contribution is tax deductible and directly strengthens our community’s ability to respond, protect one another, and survive moments of intense harm with dignity.

An excellent way for you to support 805 Undocufund's mission is to leave us a bequest in your will, living trust or with a codicil. One significant benefit of making a gift by bequest is that it allows you to continue to use the property you will leave to charity during your life. Another benefit is that you are able to leave a lasting legacy.

Types of Bequests

Percentage Bequest

Another kind of specific bequest involves leaving a specific percentage of your overall estate to charity. For example, you may wish to leave 10% of your estate to 805 Undocufund.

Specific Bequest

A specific bequest involves making a gift of a specific asset such as real estate, a car, other property or a gift for a specific dollar amount. For example, you may wish to leave your home or $10,000 to 805 Undocufund!

Contingent Bequest

A contingent bequest is made to charity only if the purpose of the primary bequest cannot be met. For example, you could leave specific property, such as a vacation home, to a relative, but the bequest language could provide that if the relative is not alive at the time of your death, the vacation home will go to 805 Undocufund.

Residual Bequest

A residual bequest is made from the balance of an estate after the will or trust has given away each of the specific bequests. A common residual bequest involves leaving a percentage of the residue of the estate to charity. For example, you may wish to leave 30% of the residue of your estate to 805 Undocufund!
